Kansas City: Fall Festivals You Shouldn’t Miss

Kansas City is a place to have fun, and this fall you can enjoy the festivals. Schedule your Kansas City movers today so you can get moved, settled, and out to these festivals.
Kansas City Irish Fest
This festival is September 2-4 and celebrates Kansas City’s Celtic heritage. During the festival’s three days of fun, you will experience Irish music, dancing, and exhibits. Hear more than two-dozen locally and nationally known bands as they play traditional music and Celtic rock. Located at Crown Center, tickets are $5 on Friday, $10 in advance for Saturday or Sunday, and $15 at the gate on Saturday/Sunday.
Music on Main
This free event at City Hall in Grandview, MO, September 10, includes some of the best talent in the Kansas City area. On-stage will be the 2008 International Blues Challenge Winner, Trampled Under Foot, the James Mathew’s Band, and the Transients, an up-and-coming country music band. Cherry Bomb, known for their party vibe, will rock out the end of the concert. The festival will include a Kids Zone area. Food and drinks will be available for sale.
Fall Family Festival
September 10, the Beanstalk Children’s Garden at the Kansas City Community Gardens will be buzzing with fun activities for young people. Food and drinks will be available to buy. Enjoy a variety of games, a scavenger hunt, activities such as painting gourds, and prizes. View the Lakeside Nature Center’s animals and sample garden treats. Admission is free.
Kansas City Renaissance Festival
Be transported back to a sixteenth century village where you can be a part of history. Learn to dance with the gypsies, shoot arrows with the infamous Black Archers, or listen to a fairy tale in the children’s area. Admission is $17.95 for adults, $8.95 for children. Located in Bonner Springs, KS, September 3 – October 16. Open only on the weekends.
Lenexa Spinach Festival
This festival is all about spinach, and much more. Sample dishes at the Spinach Garden Cafe hosted by the Lenexa Historical Society. View over 80 art, fine crafts, and antique vendors with wares such as stained glass, paintings, jewelry, pottery, and photography. This festival will be hosted on September 10 at the Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park in Lenexa, KS.
