Best Family Friendly Neighborhoods in Phoenix
September 30, 2013
For families making a move to a new city, it’s important to consider what neighborhood has the right balance of culture, safety, and good schools. Below are three neighborhoods you should take a look at before you make your relocation to Phoenix.
Scottsdale
The ironic dichotomy of Scottsdale, AZ makes for an incredibly intriguing place to live. Scottsdale is one of few towns in The U.S. that still has rodeos, ranches, and even the Pony Express. Often called “the West’s Most Western Town,” Scottsdale has plenty of events and sites to bring back the nostalgia of the Wild West.
But despite the Old West attractions, Scottsdale has also become what some consider to be the “Beverly Hills of the Southwest.” It has some of the nation’s finest restaurants, school, and golf courses.
Paradise Valley
The affluent Phoenix suburb Paradise Valley isn’t called that for nothing. The relatively small area is packed with resorts, nearby shopping and golfing, and great schools for your child’s education. Residents of the area enjoy an exceptionally high average income and a surprising amount of celebrity residents, including Mike Tyson, Stevie Nicks, and writer Clive Cussler.
Deer Valley Village
Part of Pheonix’s urban village development plan, Deer Valley Village is well known for its desert location and beautiful mountains. This urban village maintains the beauty of western living while also having quick access to the interstate. With plenty of residential and industrial development, Deer Valley Village is a great place to land in Phoenix for those wanting to mix the calm of nature with the accessibility of city living.
