Ways to Keep Kids Busy During a Move
June 19, 2013
Moving day is a busy time. Even if you hire a Kansas City mover to load the truck, you probably have several items on your to-do list. The less distractions you have, the better. And unfortunately, your kids can slow you down.
If you have relatives nearby, friends or close neighbors, it might be best to ship your kids off for the day. This way, you can work uninterrupted and deal with the multitude of things on your list. However, finding a place for your children isn’t alway doable. No worries. There are a few ways to keep your kids busy for the day.
After each room has been completely emptied, have your kids wipe down window sills, baseboards, windows and doorknobs. This will keep them busy, plus it’s one less thing for you to do. Additionally, you can have your kids label boxes or assist with light packing.
Another option: set up a space in an empty room for your kids. Have a television and DVD player with their favorite movies and a few snacks. With the kids confined to one room and their minds occupied, you can quickly get through the day.
