Thanksgiving in New York City
November 20, 2014
Have you recently made a move to New York City and trying to figure out some Thanksgiving Day plans? Certainly there are no shortage of things to do. In fact, NYC is so busy you might be overwhelmed with options. Here’s a few ideas for starters.
Invite friends over for a “Friendsgiving.” Maybe you don’t have the money to buy a plane ticket home for the holidays. Heck maybe you just don’t want to! Either way, Thanksgiving can still be a meaningful celebration. Pitch in with a few friends and plan a Turkey Day meal. Have each person bring a dish to share or a bottle of wine, and you’re sure to make some holiday memories.
Volunteer at a local non-profit. Charity work has all kinds of great benefits. Obviously, it helps someone in need. But it also gives us a more fulfilled sense of ourselves, and tends to fight depression as well. Don’t know where to start? Check out Feeding NYC, a charity that gives out thousands of meals on Thanksgiving Day.
Watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade live. If you’ve never been down to see Macy’s Parade, it’s sure to be an unforgettable experience. Join the crowd of thousands to witness the nation’s most celebrated annual parade. Who knows, you might even wind up on TV?
If you’re looking to make a move to the Big Apple this holiday season, don’t let it add to the stress. Give us a call and let us quote the work for free: (888)-251-0892.
