Kansas City March Events: Things to Do, See and Experience

March is a bustling time in Kansas City, a great time to arrive! Now that your Kansas CIty mover has unpacked your boxes and you are getting settled in, you might want to head out on the town. Here are some tips for March things to do, see, and experience.
Take the kids over to the Johnson County Museum of History for “Kidscape,” a special hands-on exhibit for kids ages 3-9. Children will have fun while learning about Johnson County’s most talented citizens, past and present. There are six environments for them to explore: a bookstore, park, City Hall, hospital, fashion boutique, and theater. Admission is free.
Buy a ticket for the show “Lucky Duck” at the Folly Theater in the Crown Center area. Music was composed by the composer of “Dream Girls.” Watch as an ugly duckling becomes a singing star. Admission is $15-$45.
Celebrate at the 38th Annual Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Takes place on Broadway, travelling from 33rd to 43rd Streets. The parade starts at 1:30pm on March 17. It is free to attend.
Get your home spiffed up with ideas from the Johnson County Home & Garden Show. It takes places March 2-4 at the Overland Park Convention Center. The show will feature remodelers, landscapers, decorators, and more. Admission is $8.50, cash only, at the box office.
Really become a local and watch the Missouri Mavericks battle against the Bloomington Blaze. If you were not a hockey fan before, you can be now! Game is at the Independence Events Center, Friday, March 23. Tickets start at $15.
A Kansas City mover can get you to your destination, but you will have to get out and explore it. March is a great time to get out of the winter doldrums and experience something fun and exciting.
