New York Philharmonic Memorial Day Concert | May 26th, 2014 | 8:00 pm
This free performance at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine is a special treat for all ages. Tickets are required for the performance so you will want to show up before 6:00 pm to claim your spot for this moving Memorial Day concert. If you are unable to get a ticket for the performance, there will be a live broadcast of the audio at the adjacent Pulpit Green.
Brooklyn Memorial Day Parade | May 26th, 2014 | 11:00 am
Being one of the oldest Memorial Day parades in the city, many flock to honor fallen veterans with pomp and circumstance. The parade takes place in Bay Ridge and includes many organizations in the New York area. The Brooklyn Memorial Day parade begins on 87th Street and Third Avenue and ends at John Paul Jones Park for a ceremony.
