Moving to Kansas City: Briarcliff Neighborhood Review
March 22, 2012
Kansas City is a city of neighborhoods, many of which might meet your needs. When moving, it is essential to get to know the neighborhoods before calling a Kansas City mover with your destination. Choosing a neighborhood might determine where your children go to school, how far you will commute, and how happy you are in your new home. One neighborhood worth looking into is Briarcliff. Located in the bluffs a few miles north of downtown, this 600 acre master-planned community might be just for you.
You can find any type of housing in Briarcliff, from a large house to a one bedroom apartment. The area is clean and well-kept. It is considered upscale, but is cheaper, newer, and quieter than its rival neighborhood, Brookside.
Briarcliff has a shopping village, full of locally owned shops and restaurants. You won’t find chain stores here. You will find organic groceries, stylish salons and spas, trendy coffee shops, and up-to-the-minute fashion.
This neighborhood is known for being safe and friendly. The park land is abundant and beautiful with views of the downtown skyline. Family activities are abundant, such as Saturday night movies at Mulberry Lake in the summer, and an ice cream social at the community farmer’s market. Holidays are special and full of activities, with everyone lighting up their houses for the season.
Living in Briarcliff, you’ll have the benefit of suburbia with closeness to the city. With all of these benefits and attributes, Briarcliff might be a great place to send your Kansas City mover.
