The Proper Way to Treat Your Moving Personnel

Beltmann Group

It’s always important to remember that the people you hire to move your residential items are people, too! They have a hard job of packing and getting your things to your new location. A long day of packing, lifting and relocating your items is a big job. As your New Jersey movers desire to give you the best service, don’t forget to show some love to your moving all-stars.

Greet Them

Make sure you meet your moving crew at the agreed upon time. If there is something delaying the process, like a closing that has been delayed, notify your movers as soon as you can. Introduce yourself and your family and take a quick tour around your home and your yard to make sure they know exactly what and where everything might be. Remember, thoughtfulness goes a long way. If you’re starting your moving day off early, it’s a nice gesture to pick up some coffee for your moving crew as well. The smallest of gestures never go unnoticed.

Communicate

Keep your communication open with your moving crew. It’s hard to guess someone’s expectations if they’re never verbalized. If you have a specific way you want something done, don’t be shy about telling your crew that. Keep in mind, though, that even with the best of communication people still make mistakes sometimes. Having an open communication with your moving crew will help them understand what you need, and help alleviate tension if the unexpected occurs.
