U.S. News: Best Jobs in 2016

Whether you’re looking for a new job or a career change, it’s always a good idea to do your research. There are quite a few reports that are released each year that cover best salaries, jobs highest in demand and trends. But, the U.S. News release of the “Best Jobs” list tries to combine a number of factors to come up with the ultimate list of jobs. They rank jobs based on a number of factors including:
- Salary
- Stress
- Skills and talent matches
- Opportunity for advancement
- Work life/balance
- Satisfaction
This year’s list includes quite a few healthcare related occupations and only one computer science career.
- Orthodontist
- Dentist
- Computer Systems Analyst
- Nurse Anesthetist
- Physician Assistant
- Nurse Practitioner
- Psychiatrist
- Pediatrician
- Anesthesiologist
- Obstetrician and Gynecologist

On the flip-side, FORBES “Toughest jobs to fill for 2016” includes at the top of its lists jobs like, Data Scientist, Electrical Engineer and General Operations Manager as jobs in high-demand. There are a few healthcare jobs listed, but they do not require an advanced degree.
